I have suffered with ovarian cysts since I was 14 (now 20). I have never had one ‘go away’ or dissolve like they are meant to. They grow very large and need removing. If they are not removed and they burst, it is excruciating.
I put it down to an extreme hormonal in-balance. I suffer acne, oily skin, hair loss, too much body hair,no sex drive, vaginal dryness, stress, fatigue….I’m totally fed up.
The hospital do a good job of removing the cysts (but that’s it) and my doctor is pretty useless.
She told me to take birth control but that causes a world of other problems for me..
…..I need help PREVENTING them in the first place, not just getting rid of them with invasive surgery or excruciating pain.
I have recently heard that herbs such as dong quai, agnus castus and korean ginseng can help my hormonal balance and increase my libido…..
I got a bit confused though cuz ginseng is meant to increase oestrogen….but that’s what causes cysts ‘ent it?!
I bought agnus castus and ginseng…but now i’m wondering if i should of bought dong quai instead of these…or even just instead of ginseng.
Can i take agnus castus with dong quai…or is one or the other?
and does ginseng really work?????
Anyone with any experiences with either cyst prevention or taking herb supplements.
Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please……Im so desperate. I’ve put up with this sh*t for too long at such a young age. x
My mum suffered from the same problem certain natural methods are to be implemented to prevent ovarian cysts formation as well as to relieve the pain along the safer lines.
The pain in pelvis can be reduced by the application of heat which can be either carried out by the use of heating pad, hot water bottle or even a hot water bath can do wonders! Using herbal teas is another remedy to prevent ovarian cysts symptoms. Chamomile, mint and raspberry teas can relieve your pain and help you relax to a greater extent. Teas are to be taken just before or after going to bed to get the maximum benefit from it. Depending on drinks containing caffeine can result in the growth of the cysts finally ending up with its rupture.
Extra hydration is very essential to prevent ovarian cyst formation. Make sure that you drink more than eight glasses of water every day and urination is very essential to avoid further problems resulting from it. The supplements like multivitamins, minerals, vitamin C, zinc, vitamin B, and antioxidants will improve with the dietary changes, working to balance hormones, improve immunity, protect against abnormal cell growth and enhance liver function. Herbs like Echinacea and Milk thistle can also helps to prevent ovarian cysts.
